Our biggest undertakings:

  • Creation and organization of activities of the National Public Organizational Committee devoted to the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian Folk Republic (2007-2008);
  • Organization of the series of round-tables devoted to the economic and political perspectives of Belarus and to the neighborhood of the EU  (2005-2007);
  • Issue of monthly informational bulletin “Belarusans in the world” and distribution it among the Belarusan organizations from 20 countries of the world (2001-2007);
  • Publishing a unique series of books dedicated to Belarusan Diaspora. It was 13 names of books published in the frames of the series since 2004 up to 2007;
  • Holding on a number of seminars devoted to the folk handicraft together with the Student Ethnographic Society (2005-2007);
  • Assisting in the organization of the cultural events of the Belarusian Diaspora in Poland (50th anniversary of the newspaper “Niva” and days of Belarusian –Lithuanian culture in Lithuania in 2006); 
  • Holding on regional meetings and concerts of the Belarusian well-known musicians, bands and writers (2006—the beginning of 2007);
  • Creation of the electronic library at the web-site www.zbsb.org
  • Organization of the public action against the building of the Church of Alexander Suvorov (Russian military general) in Kobryn. The action succeeded.
  • Organization of the public action to support the newspaper of the Belarusians of Poland “Niva”;
  •  Organization of computer courses for women (2004);
  • Holding the round tables on the gender topics among NGOs of Belarus and Sweden (2002, 2003);
  • Venerating the memory of Belarus’s public figures by placing memorial plaques on the building of the former Belarusan Culture Institute (2003), participation in creation and placing of the memorial plaque to Natalla Arsiennieva on the building of the former Belarusan Gymnasium in Vilnia (2004);
  • Creation of the Belarusan Diaspora’s archive;
  • Organizational and methodical help to Belarusan Diaspora’s organization abroad;
  • Donation of books to Belarusan libraries, Diaspora and orphan homes;
  • Publishing of the following books:
    •  Natalla Arsiennieva, Pad sinim niebam (Under The Blue Sky), 1994
    •  Fyodor Dostoevsky, Fiction Works, in Belarusan, 2003
    •  Fyodor Dostoevsky, Selected Works, in Belarusan, 2004
    • Belarusian pronunciation (a book and audio-disks);
    • The plays of foreign authors in Belarusian language;
    • J.Turonak “The people of SBM”;
    • J.Vicbich “Antibolshevik movement in Belarus” and other books.
    • Organization of exhibitions of children’s works together with Maxim Bahdanovic Literary Museum (2003, 2004);
    • Publishing of the works by the children-winners of the contests organized by the IPS BWA Backauscyna (Belarus Is My Homeland (2001), My Dear Land, I Love Thee So Much (2002), Historical Trips (2003), I’m Proud To Be A Belarusan (2004), Heirs Of Warriors’ Glory (2004);
    • Organization of sanative recreation of Belarusan children (including the contests’ winners) in Bulgaria, Turkey, Czech Republic and Poland (1999-2007);
    • Organization of the literary-historical contests among pupils (2000-2004);
    • Celebration of the 85th anniversary of the Belarusan People’s Republic (2003);
    • Organization of a series of historical quizzes in metro (2003);
    • Organization of the scientific contests among young scientists on the following topics: Reformation and Society. 16th Century (2003), on the best encyclopaedic article dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Third Wave of Belarusan emigration (2004);
    • Holding the scientific conferences The Golden Age of Belarus (2002), Reformation and Society. 16th Century (2003), publishing the conferences’ materials;
    • Creation and organization of activities of the Public Committee to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the Reformation in Belarus (2003);
    • Publishing of the book The History of the Belarusan Nation and State in Belarusan and English within the framework of the NPOC’s activities (2001);
    • Creation and organization of activities of the National Public Organizational Committee Belarus-2000 (NPOC);
    • Holding the international conferences Culture and Education of the Belarusans Abroad (1994, 1996, 1998, 2000), publishing the conferences’ materials;
    • Making the film The Way To Halidom, director V.Sevialevic (1997) that became an awardee of the Brest International Documentary Festival;
    • Publishing of U.Arlou’s book The Homeland’s Vivifying Symbol (1997);
    • Restoration of the Cross of St. Eufrasinnia Polackaja, the Belarusan nation’s spiritual symbol (1992-1997);
    • The Belarusans’ World Congresses (1993, 1997, 2001, 2005), publishing the Congresses’ materials;
    • The First Congress of the Neighbouring Countries’ Belarusans (1992);
    • The first All-Belarusan Kupalle (1991).
